LUCAMA — William “Pollock” Roberts, 67, formerly of Albany, Ga., died Sept. 17, 2012 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at Crown Hill Cemetery, Albany, Ga. The Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.
A native of Seattle, Wash., Mr. Roberts graduated from Hiram Johnson High School in Sacramento, Calif. in 1964. He moved to Albany, Ga. in 1970, and was employed with Firestone Tire and Rubber Company until the company closed in 1988. Mr. Roberts moved to Lucama in 1989 and was employed with Unico Services as a machine foreman until his retirement. He spent a total of 41 years in the rubber industry.
Mr. Roberts was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and was the former Master of Elmodel Lodge # 181 in Elmodel, Ga. He was also a former member of Hasan Shriners, where he served on the director’s staff.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra K. Roberts of Lucama; a son, Dennis V. Roberts of Nichols, Ga.; a daughter, Katrina Reyes and her husband, Ray, of Wilson; his mother, Vivian West of Rock Springs, Wyo.; and a sister, Anitra Krulja and her husband, Joe, of Rock Springs, Wyo.; five grandchildren, Justin W. Roberts of Macon, Ga., Ashley N. Ellis of Wilson, Heather N. Lemon of Winston-Salem, Alexander K. Lemon and Austin R. Lemon, both of Ridgecrest, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren.
