Virginia Clement

Virginia Mae Hayes Clement, 96, of Poquoson, Va., formerly of Wilson, died Sunday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Wilson. The Rev. Tom Watkins will officiate. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Virginia Woodall and husband, Dan, of Charlotte and Margaret Van Guilder and husband, George, of Hampton, Va.; four grandchildren, Sarah Holman and husband, Josh, Lisa Gontarek and husband, Scott, Susie Van Guilder and Jill Van Guilder; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler Holman, Gavin Gontarek, Katie Gontarek and Piper Van Guilder.
Mrs. Clement was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Bryan Clement; and her parents, Andrew Jackson Hayes and Effie Eleanor Amerson Hayes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory may be directed to the Charlie and Virginia Clement Scholarship Fund, c/o First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 3184, Wilson, NC 27895-3184.
