WEST BERLIN, N.J. — Robert N. Gray, 82, went home to be with the Lord Aug. 18, 2012.
He was the son of the late Frank B. and Edna Troutt Gray; and the brother of the late Earl, Frank, and Warren Gray.
Bob served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War participating in the Berlin Air Lift from 1947 to 1951, and also served in the U.S. National Guard from 1954 to 1957. After his military service, he then became an electrical engineer, and was an avid golfer and bowler.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Blanche C. Townsend Gray; four loving daughters, Karen Crittenden (Albert) of Elk Township, N.J., Paula Michalak (Dan) of Wilson, Edie Misiak (Stan) of West Berlin, N.J. and Laura Afflerbach (Al) of Woodbury Heights, N.J.; proud grandfather of 19; and 1 precious great-granddaughter; two sisters, Hazel Vilnis of Langhorn, Pa., and Dolly Sirolli of Blackwood, N.J.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at Knight Funeral Home with visitation at 9:15 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow in Berlin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the E. Berlin Community Church, 115 Collings Ave., W. Berlin, NJ 08091.
