[1]BAILEY — Willard Elias Manning, 78, passed away Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Barbee will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7–9 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Pkwy., and other times at 12796 N.C. 581 S., Bailey.
Elias was a loving husband for 59 years, a loving father and family man that was a friend to all. He was an army solider who served his country with honor during the Korean Conflict.
Elias is survived by his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Theresa Moore of Bailey and Lori Stancil and husband, Billy, of Bailey; his son, Brent Manning and wife, Teresa, of Wendell; one granddaughter; seven grandsons; two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Ewilda Brantley of Momeyer and Marie Moss of Henderson; and one brother, Donald Manning and wife, Barbara, of Lynchburg, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James David Manning and Ella Elizabeth Stone Manning; two sisters, Valista Moss and Doris Young; and one brother, William Manning.
