Lillian Rountree, 96, a resident of Avante At Wilson Nursing Care Center, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012.
A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m., Friday at Frist Baptist Church, 6161 Lucama Road, Lucama. The Rev. Jeffrey Simms will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street Ext.
Loving memories are cherished by one sister, Olivia Gibson of Wilson; two daughters, Annette Mathis (Carl) of Wilson, and Jewel Hughes (Wardell) of Greensboro; one son, Cleveland Rountree Jr. (Marnetta) of Wilson; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a host of other special relatives and friends.
A public viewing will take place Friday from 1 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Wilson. All other times the family will receive friends at 2620 Westminister Drive, where they will also assemble one hour prior to the funeral service in preparation of the funeral procession.
