    Dr. William “Bill” Rand Jordan died Friday, Oct. 10, 2014 at UNC Memorial Hospital, where he had attended medical school years earlier. Dr. Jordan was a large, gruff man with a tender heart who, most likely, was UNC’s biggest fan, ever. He was Tarheel born and bred. Dr. Jordan was the third son, born in Wilson, to Elizabeth Hereford Jordan and Edward Bryant Jordan, who both preceded him in death.  Read more ›

    Elizabeth Hackney Baskervill Williams died peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014 in Wilson. She was 90 years old.
    A celebration of life will be held this Saturday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Wilson, followed by visitation at the church. A private burial will be held on Sunday in Warrenton.  Read more ›
