Douglas Carter, 80, of Wilson, died Monday, June 25, 2012.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 3 p.m., in Maplewood Cemetery, Section F.
Surviving is his wife, Myrtle Worrell Carter; daughter, Teresa Ellis (Cecil) of the home; grandchildren, Erica Pittman (Kevin) of Raleigh and Laura Lee Kulesher (James) of San Francisco, Calif.; and sisters, Pauline Hare of Wilson and Christine Bass of Florence, S.C.
The family will be at home until one hour before the funeral.
