MIDDLESEX — Doris Lewis Denton, 81, passed away Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church, Taylors Mill Road, Middlesex. Interment will be 11 a.m. Friday in Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex.
The family will receive friends after the service at Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church, and other times at 13400 Old Raleigh-Wilson Road.
Doris is survived by her five daughters, JoAnn Jackson of Selma, Marie Tant and husband, Willard, of Middlesex, Brenda Perry and husband, Wayne, of Middlesex, Debbie Lewis Tant of Middlesex, Patsy Narron and husband, Larry, of Middlesex; one son, Marty Lewis and wife, Teresa, of Kenly; two sisters, Thelma McLamb of Raleigh and Hazel Hinton of Hope Mills; one brother, Earl Creech and wife, Louise, of Kenly; and Destiny, her special pet.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Lewis and Frank Denton; one son, Robert Michael Lewis; two grandsons, Jesse Paul Jackson Jr. and Robert Charles Jackson.
