SIMS — Cecil Glenn Jackson Sr., 66, passed away Thursday. The family will receive friends 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Pkwy., Wilson, and other times at 6666 Winbourne Road, Sims.
Cecil was a loving and special husband, father, Pa, brother and friend. He was loved and will be thought of often with fond memories.
Cecil is survived by his wife, Joyce Jackson; his sons, Kenneth Jackson and wife, Cindy, of Bunn, Ricky Jackson and wife, Brenda, of Wilson and Cecil Glenn Jackson Jr., and wife, Renee, of Goldsboro; granddaughter, Beth Jackson of Red Oak; grandson, Charlie Jackson of Bailey; sisters, Barbara J. Williamson of Lucama and Frances Batts and husband, G.R., of Rocky Mount; brother, Melvin Jackson Jr. of Norfolk Va.; and a very special friend, Stumpy Winborne of Sims.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin E. Jackson Sr. and Ethel Boyette Jackson.
