Carrie Elizabeth Wynn Green, 86, of 308 Rountree St., passed away Tuesday at her residence. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 6211 E. Langley Road, Elm City. The Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. Entombment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.
Loving memories are forever cherished by her daughter, who was also her caregiver, Brenda Barnes of New Rochelle, N.Y.; three stepdaughters, Arnette Haywood, Veronica Lucas and Angelette Rivas, all of Maryland; six stepsons, Edwin Green, Ricky Green, Wayne Green, Keith Green, Paul Green and Bruce Green; two sisters, Margaret Desa of Elm City and Vera Joyner of Chantilly, Va.; one brother, Randolph Cobb of Washington, DC; 45 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; an adopted daughter, Belinda M. Casey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carrons Funeral Home, 325 E. Nash St., Wilson. The family will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
