MIDDLESEX — Belma Bryant Armstrong, 78, passed away Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Union Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church, 10748 Bissette Road, Middlesex. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex. The Rev. Rudy Owens will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Pkwy., and other times at the home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Armstrong; and her daughter, Lisa Armstrong Biggs.
Belma is survived by her daughter, Sharon A. Seward and husband, Steve, of Charlotte; her son, Robert E. Armstrong Jr. and wife, Patricia, of Middlesex; her son-in-law, David Biggs of Rocky Mount; three sisters, Louise Measley of Wilson, Eva Lamm of Rocky Mount and Jo Ann Bryant of Middlesex; and her brother, Jimmy Bryant of Zebulon.
