He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, companion, and friend to more than could possibly be named. Affectionately known to all as “Pa,” his proudest accomplishment in life was his family. He took great pride in the closeness his family shared and the love that always flowed through his home. Everyone was welcome and many, many people were blessed with his love and generosity.
Mr. Lamm quietly helped anyone and everyone that needed it, never asking for the glory. He chose to give the glory to God, who had blessed him so richly. He touched many lives with his infectious smile and laugh, and will be greatly missed by anyone that was ever blessed enough to have met him.
He is survived by four daughters, Lisa Lamm of the home and her fiance, Anthony Brown, Chris Patterson and husband, Marvin, of Lucama, Sandra Bryant and husband, Glenn, of Elm City, and Patricia Proctor and husband, Ted, of Wilson; one son, Wayne Lamm and wife, Judy, of New Bern; one brother, Alvin Lamm, of Wilson; and one sister, Belle Stern, of Ill.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves to cherish his memory a very special, long-time companion, Connie Forbes of Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Lamm; his parents; one brother; two sisters; and a granddaughter.
